An event in Rehovot put Ethiopian Jewish heritage in the spotlight, using film and music to trace ties back to the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon. The choice to center this narrative publicly signals a deliberate effort to broaden how Israeli society understands its own diversity. Watch for whether similar cultural programming gains traction in other cities, and how it affects the visibility of Ethiopian Israeli communities.
