Взгляд Торы

When a mob tears through a city, the synagogue is often the first door it breaks. The Ohalei Yaakov shul in Paris was ransacked this weekend, prayer books and tefillin scattered across the floor, the rabbi's office raided. The Torah scrolls survived. That detail matters. Our sages teach that the Torah is the heart of Jewish endurance, and no riot can desecrate what it cannot reach. But the warning stands. Hatred that begins with Jews rarely ends with them, as the Combat Antisemitism Movement put it. The response is not only locks and guards. It is a community that refuses to hide its light, that keeps gathering, keeps praying, keeps teaching its children who they are.
