A second security incident in southern Syria within a short period involves suspects approaching an IDF position near Quneitra, raising questions about the stability of the buffer zone. Israeli forces followed standard arrest procedures, including warning shots, before detaining the two individuals on motorcycles. The recurring pattern of intrusions suggests either a breakdown of local deterrence or deliberate probing by actors testing Israeli response protocols. Watch for any claims of responsibility or explanations from Syrian authorities, as well as potential shifts in IDF rules of engagement along this volatile frontier.
