Netanyahu rejects CNN report that Trump blocked Iran strike
CNN claims Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought joint US-Israeli attack on Iran before elections, failed to secure US President Donald Trump's approval. Prime Minister's Office: Fake news
Оценка
The Prime Minister's Office is calling the CNN report fake news, but the denial does not address the substance of the claim. The report describes a specific sequence: Netanyahu sought a joint strike before elections and did not get Trump's approval. If true, it would mean Israel's leadership pushed for a major military escalation that Washington declined to join. The flat denial leaves open whether the underlying conversation happened. Watch for whether CNN stands by its sourcing or issues a correction, and whether Israeli officials offer any detail beyond the blanket rejection.
