The 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood now fields M2A4E1 Bradleys with the Israeli Iron Fist active protection system, a first batch delivery that marks a concrete shift in how the US Army equips its armored vehicles. The system targets drone and missile threats, which have become the defining danger for ground forces in recent conflicts. This integration signals deeper US reliance on Israeli defense tech for frontline platforms. Watch for how quickly the Army scales this across other brigades and whether it changes procurement priorities for future vehicle upgrades.
