מתמטיקאים ישראלים בין שמונת זוכי פרס וולף לשנת 2026

הערכה

Two Israeli mathematicians have been named Wolf Prize laureates, a recognition that carries national as well as academic weight. The award ceremony at the President's Residence underscores how Israel's government ties scientific prestige to national identity. Watch for whether the prize draws attention to the state of academic funding and research conditions in Israel, especially for mathematics.
