Jerusalem's municipal government is launching a digital wallet called MuniBox to consolidate payments for children's activities and school fees into a single mobile interface. The initiative, presented at the MUNI EXPO 2026 conference, aims to reduce bureaucratic hassle for families. The platform was developed by the Center for Local Government in partnership with the financial service PayBox. The key question is how quickly other Israeli municipalities might adopt similar unified payment systems.
