The far-left Die Linke party just won Berlin's election, bringing with it a faction that has openly consorted with Hamas sympathizers and other anti-Israel extremists. For Jewish Berliners, this shifts the city's political center of gravity toward a coalition that has trouble distinguishing between Palestinian solidarity and outright support for terrorism. The question is whether the party's mainstream leadership will marginalize these elements or let them shape policy. That answer will determine whether Berlin remains a safe space for its Jewish community or becomes another European capital where anti-Zionism crosses into Jew-hatred.
