Évaluation

An Iranian drone struck a tanker near Oman's Sohar anchorage, with satellite imagery confirming a resulting fire. This attack extends Iran's pattern of targeting commercial shipping in the region, directly threatening maritime security and trade routes. The choice of a UAV as the strike weapon raises questions about escalation and the capability to respond to such remote-controlled threats. Watch for operator nationality and any immediate military or diplomatic response from affected states.
