Torah perspective
The Ten Commandments are the constitutional document of the moral universe, the terms of the covenant that preceded any human legislature. A Texas judge ordering their display in classrooms affirms a simple truth: law derives its authority from a source higher than the state. The inner dimension of Torah teaches that the Ten Commandments correspond to the ten sefirot, the divine channels through which reality is sustained. Removing them from public view does not create neutrality. It replaces one foundation with another. A society unwilling to display its own moral anchor in public spaces has already begun to drift from its moorings.
