Torah perspective
The word 'nes' in Hebrew means both miracle and banner. A banner is lifted high so all can see. Lapid's claim that survival under this government is a miracle inadvertently points to a deeper truth: every breath, every moment of safety, is a revealed act of divine providence. The Gemara teaches that nothing happens by accident. The question is not whether God protects us, but whether we see the banner. When we attribute survival to luck or politics, we miss the point. The miracle is that despite human failure, divine mercy holds the world together. The real work is to make ourselves vessels worthy of that protection.
