Torah perspective
A 24-year-old man was stabbed near Jericho today. The terrorist fled. The IDF is hunting him. The victim is stable and conscious at Shaare Zedek in Jerusalem. We are in Elul, the month of return. The attack is a brutal reminder that evil has not withdrawn from the world. The work of teshuvah is not only personal but national. It means strengthening our hold on the land, pursuing justice without hesitation, and recognizing that every single life is infinitely precious. The hospital's name, Shaare Zedek, Gates of Righteousness, is itself a prayer. May righteousness, not violence, be what passes through our gates.
