Torah perspective
A sukkah is called the "shadow of faith", a fragile structure where the only reliable roof is Heaven. The Sukkah Foundation's launch touches something deep: the mitzvah of providing a sukkah transcends charity into partnership. Every family sitting in a sukkah that was given rather than bought brings the giver into the joy of the holiday itself. This is what the sages called "causing merit to the public", not just enabling an act, but creating the vessel for an entire festival of divine light. When a Jew dwells in the sukkah, the Shechinah spreads her wings over that temporary home. Funding that shelter is funding an encounter with the divine presence itself.
