Torah perspective
Aharon's response to Korach's rebellion was to run into the midst of the congregation, standing between the living and the dead with incense and prayer. He did not wait for the rebels to apologize or for the system to be fixed; he acted because lives were at stake. That is the Torah's measure of leadership: not the ability to project certainty or win every argument, but the willingness to enter the crisis, absorb the anger, and become a vessel for healing. When a government co-opts Jewish symbols while ignoring the actual weight of Jewish responsibility, it empties the very tradition it claims to defend.
