Torah perspective
Unity is not a feeling that descends from heaven unearned. It is built in the small, unnoticed moments: in the traffic jam, at the post office counter, in the supermarket aisle. Noam Bettan, after standing before a hostile world and declaring 'Am Yisrael Chai,' reminded us that the real work happens precisely there, in the ordinary friction between people. The Torah says 'Love your neighbor as yourself' (Vayikra 19:18) and Hillel called this the entire Torah, the rest is commentary. That commentary is written not in grand gestures but in the daily choice to judge favorably and be a little kinder. That is how a soul comes home.
