At the last minute, a massive military strike against Iran was postponed at the request of Arab leaders. This mirrors a profound Torah tension. There is a time for decisive action against evil, as the Torah commands rising early against one who rises up against you. Yet shalom, peace, is itself one of God's Names. What makes this remarkable is that the voices urging restraint came from leaders of nations historically hostile to Israel. This hints at divine providence at work: when even adversaries recognize a common threat and call for caution, it may signal an opening where none seemed possible. True might lies in controlling one's impulse. The pause may be the deepest act of faith, trusting that outcomes unfold according to a plan far deeper than human strategy.
