Every word spoken in Hebrew carries a spark of that original light. When a Jew speaks Hebrew, even casually, one affirms a chain stretching back to Sinai. The assault on Shalev Ben Yakar was an assault on that chain. But the same breath that was targeted is the breath that keeps the language alive. Our response is not fear, but more Hebrew: more learning, more speaking, more singing.
