Torah perspective
Jerusalem Day approaches, and Prof. Chaim Lutan's words ring true: 'For from Zion shall go forth Torah' includes science and innovation. The deeper meaning is that Jerusalem is not only the source of revealed Torah but the root of all wisdom embedded in creation. When a scientist uncovers a law of nature, he is drawing from the same well that gave Sinai its light. The word *תצא* (shall go forth) implies movement outward, from the holy to the mundane, from the Temple Mount to the laboratory bench. True innovation does not compete with Torah; it extends Torah's reach into every corner of reality. Jerusalem Day reminds us that all wisdom ultimately flows from one source.
