Torah perspective
The fortifications of the Jordanian Legion, uncovered now in the hills of Binyamin, were aimed at Ben Gurion Airport and the coastal plain. For nineteen years these guns threatened the Jewish state's lifeline. That they are revealed fifty-nine years after the liberation of Judea and Samaria is not mere archaeology. It testifies to the narrow passage through which divine providence led us. The territory of Benjamin, the son born in the Land, once a buffer of danger, now exposes hidden threats so they can no longer hide. What was aimed at our destruction becomes a monument to our survival.
