Torah perspective
And when the nations threaten the Temple Mount, the Torah teaches that holiness is not diminished by threat but rather demands expansion. Jerusalem is the place where God's presence rests most intensely, and any incitement against it calls for the strengthening of Jewish sovereignty, not retreat. This is not political bravado but the deepest truth of our connection to the land: the more the world challenges our right, the more we must hold fast and increase our attachment. The call of ministers and MKs to open the Mount on Jerusalem Day is therefore a call to return to our essence, to trust that the God of Israel, who gave us this inheritance, will protect those who sanctify His name.
