Assessment
A direct political confrontation has erupted between Naftali Bennett and Rabbi Dov Lando over comments about religious Zionist casualties. Bennett, chairman of the Together party, has accused Lando of making statements he calls antisemitic, anti-Zionist, and hostile to the IDF. The clash exposes a raw nerve in Israeli society about the legitimacy of military sacrifice and the relationship between ultra-Orthodox non-service and state funding. Watch how other political and rabbinic figures align themselves, as this could reignite coalition battles over drafting yeshiva students.
