From Gaza battlefield to Knesset: Elisha Medan's plea for unity
Elisha Medan, who lost both legs fighting in Gaza, calls for a broad coalition and says he is ready to compromise to unite Israel's Zionist camps
Assessment
A soldier who gave his legs in Gaza is now asking politicians to give up their egos. Medan's personal sacrifice gives his call for a broad coalition moral weight that abstract appeals lack. The question is whether party leaders will match his willingness to compromise.
