Assessment
The IDF's discovery of a tunnel in Hebron, even one without an exit, shifts the focus from a single shooting attack to the infrastructure that enabled it. Finding a passageway adjacent to a gunman's home suggests premeditation and logistical planning beyond a lone actor. The military's public release of this detail signals they are investigating whether this tunnel was part of a broader network or a failed attempt. Watch for whether this leads to further demolitions or arrests in the area.
