Following recent reported gains by Yemeni government forces against the Houthis along the southwestern coast adjacent to the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, some graphic footage shows government/government-aligned forces running over Houthi fighters.
Assessment
Yemeni government forces are advancing along the strategic Bab al-Mandeb coast and graphic footage shows them running over Houthi fighters. The strait is a critical chokepoint for global shipping and伊朗-backed Houthi attacks there have disrupted trade. Watch whether these gains shift control of the coastline and affect maritime security.
