Praying for Rain in Eretz Yisrael
It does not seem logical that Jews living in lands whose rainy seasons differ from that of Eretz Yisrael should ask for rain according to the calendar of Eretz Yisrael!
Assessment
The question of when to pray for rain exposes a practical tension between a universal Jewish calendar and local lived reality. Jews abroad face a genuine choice: follow the rhythm of the land of Israel or adapt to their own climate. The underlying concern is not liturgical detail but how religious practice stays coherent across vastly different geographies. Watch for how communities resolve this divergence in their own prayer schedules.
