Assessment
Two U.S. government arms , military and diplomatic , are simultaneously pulling back from the Middle East. Troop reductions at bases plus staff cuts at embassies suggest a deliberate scaling of American footprint, not a localized adjustment. Without official confirmation, the report remains unverified, but the coordination between Defense and State would signal a policy shift if true. Watch for either confirmation or denial from U.S. officials in the coming days.
