Iranian attack preparations against Americans in the Middle East are now reportedly in advanced stages, according to U.S. intelligence shared with The Wall Street Journal. A Friday memo from Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton to Secretary of State Marco Rubio flagged the heightened threat level. The timing suggests the administration is making the assessment public to signal deterrence or prepare for retaliation. Watch for whether the U.S. moves assets or issues a formal warning to American personnel in the region.
