Assessment
The IDF and ISA confirmed the elimination of two Hamas commanders, one in military intelligence and one in engineering, in a strike on Gaza City two days ago. The named target, Mohammed Halawa, held a command role in Hamas' military apparatus. This is a targeted blow to Hamas' operational structure, though the full scope of the strike's impact remains unclear. Watch for whether Hamas responds with rocket fire or other retaliation in the coming days.
