'Trust was shattered' | Bereaved relative calls for full Oct. 7 probe at national ceremony
Omri Shifroni, who lost family members in the massacre at Kibbutz Be’eri, speaks at national memorial ceremony and calls for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth and restore public trust
Assessment
A bereaved family member used a national memorial platform to demand accountability, not just mourning. Omri Shifroni's call for a full investigation into October 7 signals that public trust in the official response remains broken. The demand carries weight because it comes from a personal loss at Kibbutz Be'eri, one of the hardest-hit communities. Watch whether political leaders respond to this pressure or let the demand fade after the ceremony.
