IDF finds underground shaft near West Bank home of Hamas terrorist who killed two soldiers
According to the IDF, the shaft was approximately 15 meters deep and relatively narrow. It was found near the terrorist’s home in the Hebron area of the West Bank
Assessment
The discovery of a narrow 15-meter shaft near a Hamas operative's home raises questions about whether militant groups are digging in the West Bank, a tactic more commonly associated with Gaza. The IDF's public release of the detail may signal intent to deter underground operations. Watch whether this leads to arrests or further shaft findings nearby.
