King of Netherlands visited the Jewish community in The Hague
Community members shared with the king their sense of isolation and daily fear. The king for his part emphasized that there must be no tolerance for harm against Jews.
Assessment
The Dutch king's visit to The Hague's Jewish community signals official concern about rising antisemitism. Community members described daily fear and isolation directly to the monarch, who responded by stating intolerance toward attacks on Jews is unacceptable. The visit puts public pressure on Dutch institutions to back that principle with action.
